TOML Superband play The Big Red Bash

Located next to the highest sand-dune on the edge of the Simpson Desert - The Big Red Bash was as remote a gig as any of us had worked on.
Featuring the Time of My Life Superband - the show was situated 40km west of Birdsville set in a truly unique and stunning location with Big Red (the sand dune) as a backdrop.

Mondo Rock - 33 1/3 Anniversary Tour

Mondo Rock hit the road in June 2014 for the first time in 24 years, but this time with the classic line-up not seen since the Summer of ’ 81.

Ross Wilson, Eric McCusker, James Black, Paul Christie & Gil Matthews reunited for this very special run of national shows.

The tour coincided with the 33rd anniversary of the bands breakthrough album, Chemistry, which spawned four massive hits.
Smasha provided FOH mix using AVID consoles and featured McDSP plugins to recreate the songs that have been etched into the memory of so many Australians’.

Relying on detailed snapshots to ensure each song of the 2-part show was produced with respect to the original releases and offering a contemporary edge to the concert experience.
What a pleasure to work on!

APIA - Good Times Tour 2014

Commencing with a performance at the MCG on Anzac Day and finishing 20 shows later in early June, the 2014 APIA Good Times tour was a musical pleasure and mixing accomplishment for Smash’n’Sound.
Featuring 4 iconic performers, Leo Sayer, Russell Morris, Richard Clapton and Joe Camilleri with a 7-piece band full of Australia’s best players - the tour covered all states with most shows sold-out.
I mixed using mostly AVID consoles and McDSP plugins, touring production was provided by Howard Sound (Melb) unless local in-house production was the only option.

Band line-up

Drums (Russell Morris) Perc & BV’s - John Creech
