ROSS WILSON & the PEACENIKS drew a big crowd at Melbourne Federation Square for the unique & beautiful Candlelight Concert. Perfect weather, 1000 led candles and a few thousand music lovers.

Presented by The Future Factory - Smash'n'Sound had the pleasure to look after FOH for the unique and powerful Zeppelin Unledded Tour, hitting theatres around the country in January & Febuary 2024.
Touring production provided by Howard Sound, this show delivered a dynamic 12 piece band featuring the distinctive vocals of Jimmy Cupples. A three piece Middle Eastern Trio on stage right and a String Quartet on stage right added to the shows delivery of many lesser performed live Zeppelin tunes.
Smash'n'Sound joined the DG Global team as touring sound engineer for iconic Australian band - 1927.
With shows in most states in predominately theatre venues, the band was a powerhouse act to mix and pull together those classic 90's sounds with Davey Porter on drums, Rodrigo Bustos on Bass & MD duties, Aaron Mendoza on Keys, Peron Lan on lead guitar and original frontman Erik Weiderman delivering the signature vocal and rhythm guitar parts.
Using in-house systems, the tour jumped between Allen+Heath d-Live, SQ series, Avid Profile & S6L's, DigiCo SD models & Yamaha CL series.
Smash provided instrument mics as per normal featuring sE Electronics VR1 passive ribbon on guitars, Radial JDI's, and a selection of drum mics from Audix, Beyer, Audio-Technica & Senheisser.
November 2022 - A real pleasure to spend a week with Kate Ceberano & massively talented band cruising the South Pacific from Vanuatu back to Sydney on Pacific Adventure Sailcation.
Chance to work with some dedicated crew and mix Kates hits in a unique environment. Ocean swells and stages are a curious combination.
2nd year students at RMIT University Sound Production program get industry mentoring each August with a series of live in-studio band performances under the banner of the award winning 'COLLIDE' project.
3 teams rotated between FOH (DigiCo SD11i), Monitors (Behringer X32) & Record split (Allen+Heath GLD80 - Pro Tools + JoeCo Black Box. Students are exposed to industry performers in RMIT Media Precinct, Studio A for a full live-to-Camera performance. Live Production students operate Camera's and Lighting under the direction of industry veteran Rob Wellington.
2022 featured Tex Perkins and the Fat Rubber Band, Doll Squad, Catherine McQuade, Penny Ikinger, and many others.
Following a 2 year writing break (& covid) Meg is back with new band, songs & stage design.
Following a couple of festivals earlier in 2022 - this tour marks her return and the shows are amazing. DigiCo SD10's at each end with FOH featuring Waves Superack.
First show was at The Forum in Melbourne.

Gigs, oh how we miss gigs!
We await the return of touring live sound - in what form that takes is an unknown after 8 months of Covid lockdowns and shutdowns across both the broader community & the arts sector, .
